Virtuosoft System Consulting Inc ("we," "our," or "us") operates the miScan Expense Google Workspace Add-on (the "Add-on"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Add-on collects, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding that information.
By installing or using the Add-on, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We only request access to the minimum necessary permissions required to run the Add-on.
Data you provide: We do not collect or store any personal data or credentials unless explicitly provided by you (e.g., to set up your Add-on licence token or if you contact our support team).
Google User Data: The Add-on interacts with your Google Sheets and Drive environment to perform its core functions. This is scoped to your individual Google account and is not accessible to other users and is never stored on our servers. The Add-on does not modify any of the data you created.
Scopes requested: The Add-on utilizes specific Google OAuth scopes. These scopes are strictly used to create Add-on specific Google Drive folders, Spreadsheet and time driven trigger, which would execute the process of reading the document to generate structured data into your Google Spreadsheet. The specific Google OAuth scopes are listed below.

What it means to the user / What it allows
Allows the Add-on to read and process the files you will upload or create in the Add-on Upload folder. This permission is strictly used to install the Add-on upload and archive folders, read files in the Add-on Upload folder, log information into the Add-on Spreadsheet located in the Add-on Root folder and move files from the Add-on Upload to Add-on Archive folder. The Add-on never reads, modifies or access any other unrelated files inside or outside the Add-on folders.

Allows the Add-on to edit, and update the specific Google Spreadsheet created by the Add-on (the “Add-on Spreadsheet”). This permission is strictly utilized to automatically write only structured data read from documents you uploaded to the Add-on Upload folder. The Add-on never alters or accesses any of your other personal spreadsheets, including anything you will create or upload inside the Add-on folders.

Allows the Add-on to connect to outside web servers and APIs over the internet. This permission is strictly required to establish a secure network connection with our external web application to handle your client account registration, verify your authorization tokens, and safely validate login credentials. The Add-on only communicates with our verified application domain and never sends your private document contents to unauthorized third parties

Allows the Add-on to see your primary Google account email address. This is used strictly to identify your user session, verify your software license/subscription status, and securely link your Google Workspace environment to our application authorization platform.

Allows the Add-on to automatically send emails to your email account. This permission is strictly used to deliver automated notifications of critical issues encountered during the processing of the documents you created or uploaded to the Add-on Upload folder in your Google Drive. The Add-on never reads, accesses, or deletes your mail.

Allows the Add-on to store and retrieve app-specific configuration settings directly within your Google account's local property service (for example, your Add-on’s licence token and the Add-on folder and Spreadsheet IDs in your Google Drive) . This data is used solely to facilitate the operations of the Add-on’s core functions.

Allows the Add-on to detect your language preferences and timezone settings. This is strictly used to provide localized features, such as displaying dates and greeting accurately based on your local time.

Allows the Add-on to view basic file information (such as names and file types) of items in the Add-on’s Upload folders in your Google Drive to facilitate the execution of the Add-on’s core function.

Allows the Add-on to create, manage, and run automated tasks behind the scenes. This permission is strictly used to set up the time-driven background trigger that automatically processes documents you created or uploaded to the Add-on Upload folder on a schedule without requiring you to keep your browser tab open. The Add-on only runs code related to its own specific automated features and never alters your other Google scripts or settings.

Allows the Add-on time-driven background trigger process to read the document/image file uploaded through the Add-on to enable extraction of transaction information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the accessed data solely to provide and improve the functionality of the Add-on. Specifically, we use it to:
Operate and maintain the core features of the Add-on.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Local Processing: All data processing occurs locally within your Google Workspace environment or securely via Google's Apps Script infrastructure. You are responsible for the storage, retention, deletion or archiving of data installed by the Add-on on your Google Workspace environment.
No Database Storage: We do not maintain an external database to store your document contents or personal files.
4. Third-Party Services
The Add-on does not share any data with third-party services.
5. Compliance with Google API Disclosure
The Add-on’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
